Admission Process

Phase 1

  1. Applicants may apply for up to a year and a half before the start date of the program.
  2. All applicants must apply through the Occupational Therapist Centralized Application Service (OTCAS). If accepted into the program, you will receive an invitation from the OTD program with a special link to apply to the U of A Graduate School.
  3. Applicants can submit their application before completing prerequisites and observation hours. You have until Aug. 31 before your planned start date to complete these requirements.
  4. Two letters of recommendation (professional, academic) must be from individuals who can speak to the applicant's ability to perform in a graduate-level setting and attest that the applicant is a good candidate for the OT profession.
  5. Finalized official transcripts can be submitted to OTCAS | Applicant Login Page Section. in case the transcript is not finalized by the application deadline, applicant can e-mail their official transcript to otd@uark.edu.

Phase 2

Admission Committee

  1. Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) via Zoom, link will be sent prior to meeting schedule.
  2. Health Science Reasoning Test (HSRT) University of Arkansas Exam Selection | RegisterBlast
  3. Scholarly writing activities.
